Football players can refuse to advertise the Club World Cup

Football players can refuse to advertise the club World Cup. This is reported by The Times.

The players' unions of England, Italy and France are considering an option in which players will refuse to advertise the World Cup among clubs due to poor relations with FIFA.

The organization has not yet concluded sponsorship and television contracts for the tournament with the participation of 32 teams, which will be held in the United States in June-July 2025.

Earlier, the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations (FIFPro), the Association of Professional Footballers of England (PFA) and the European leagues have already filed lawsuits in European courts against FIFA — they claim that they were not consulted about the holding of the club World Cup.
