Panarin named NHL's first star of the day

Russian hockey players Artemi Panarin and Nikita Kucherov have been named among the stars of the day in the NHL, as announced by the league's press office.

New York Rangers forward Panarin earned the title of the day's best player. He recorded a hat-trick and an assist in their 5-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

The second star of the day was awarded to St. Louis Blues goaltender Joel Hofer, who achieved a shutout in the game against the New York Islanders. The Canadian netminder saved all 34 shots on goal and provided an assist to Jake Neighbours' overtime goal, securing a 1-0 win for his team.

Kucherov was named the third star of the day. The Tampa Bay Lightning forward scored twice in their 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Artemi Panarin currently leads the NHL in scoring with 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) across four games. Nikita Kucherov tops the league's goal-scoring chart with six goals in three matches.
