Pereira hints at december fight, Ankalaev responds

UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has reacted to the news of the canceled bout between Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov, which was set to headline UFC 310.

It was revealed earlier that the welterweight titleholder Muhammad is unable to participate in the UFC 310 event due to an injury.

Previously, MMA Mania reported that league officials had reached out to Pereira with a proposal to fight Russian contender Magomed Ankalaev. Later, Pereira posted a telephone emoji on social media, leading fans to speculate that the Brazilian was hinting at his willingness to discuss participating at UFC 310. Shortly thereafter, Ankalaev shared a similar emoji on his own social media.

UFC 310 is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, USA, on the night of December 7th to 8th. 

The UFC president had previously named Ankalaev as a contender for the light heavyweight title. Alex Pereira is currently the titleholder in the light heavyweight division. Ankalaev has earlier assessed Pereira’s skills and urged him to accept the fight.
