Philadelphia falls to Seattle in NHL match, suffers third consecutive loss

The Philadelphia Flyers were defeated by the Seattle Kraken with a score of 6-4 in an NHL regular-season clash held at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

For the Flyers, Scott Laughton showcased his skills with a double, scoring at the 5th and 19th minutes. Additional goals were netted by Cam York (31st) and Jamie Drysdale (53rd, power play). On the home side, goals came from Brandon Montour (11th), Jared McCann (24th, power play), Eeli Tolvanen (35th), Jordan Eberle (38th), Shane Wright (38th), and Oliver Bjorkstrand (55th).

Flyers’ goaltender Ivan Fedotov was substituted for Samuel Ersson after the second period. The Russian goalie saved 19 of 24 shots, allowing five goals.

This marks Philadelphia's third defeat in a row, following losses to the Edmonton Oilers (4-3 OT) and Calgary Flames (6-3).

Seattle is currently placed ninth in the NHL Western Conference standings with six points. Philadelphia sits 13th in the East with three points.

The Kraken will face the Calgary Flames at home on October 20, while the Flyers will host the Vancouver Canucks on the same day.
