Ruud on exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia: «A controversial place for tennis»

Norwegian tennis player Kasper Ruud has said that Saudi Arabia is not the most suitable place to host a tennis competition.

«I didn't get any offers from Six Kings Slam, but they were earlier and I decided not to go. Saudi Arabia is a controversial country in terms of tennis and a lot of things, but there are other strange places we go and play. Inevitably in the future we will have to play in this country, I heard that they will host the new Masters», SpilXperten quoted Ruud as saying.

The Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 16 to 19 and features world ranking leader Yannick Cinner, Spaniards Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, Russian Daniil Medvedev, Serb Novak Djokovic, and Norwegian Holger Rune. All participants will earn at least 1.5 million dollars, with the champion earning six million dollars.
