Judd Trump is an English former world number one snooker player affectionately nicknamed “The Ace in the Pack”. He is favourite to win this years UK Championships at odds of 4/1 amongst all the major bookmakers. He is coming into this years tournament in good form, having just won the English Open for the second time in October.  Earlier in the 2023/24 Season he was winner of both the Wuhan Open and the Northern Ireland Open, which underpins why he is favourite here.

Ronnie O’Sullivan

Current ranking: 1

World Champion: 2001, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020, 2022

Widely recognised as one of the most talented players in the sport's history, “the rocket” jointly holds the record for the most ranking titles, with 39. Not only that but has held the top ranking position multiple times over the course of his career. He is clearly coming to the twilight of this career though and at 47 can not have too many more years in him at the top of his game. He is still a force to be reckoned with though and in 2023 he won the Shanghai Masters beating a World Class field. It is this ability to perform on the big stage that makes him 11/2 second favorite, odds available at Betfred.

Mark Selby

Current ranking: 5

World Champion: 2014, 1016, 2017, 2021

Known as “The Jester from Leicester” Mark Selby has been ranked number one in the world on several occasions. At 8/1 available at Star Sports he is one of the top contenders for the title. Despite a slow start to the current season he is still ranked 5th in the world and has proven on his day to be unbeatable. He made a 147 in the World Snooker Championships last year, the first ever in the final and the 5th of his career.

Mark Allen

He is last years winner of the event, which he won 10–7 against Ding Junhui, where he remarkably came back from 1–6 behind. The bookmakers are offering up to 10/1 that he can repeat the feat this year.

Neil Robertson

Current ranking: 6

World Champion: 2010

“The Thunder from Down Under” as he is known can be bet on at odds of 12/1 to lift the UK Championship trophy this year. He is a former World Champion and a former world number one.
