Ancelotti addresses Militão's status ahead of Champions League match against Stuttgart

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an update on the condition of defender Éder Militão ahead of the team's first league phase match in the Champions League against Stuttgart.

It was previously reported that the 26-year-old Brazilian might miss the encounter with the German club due to an injury sustained during a national team training session.

Additionally, it was disclosed yesterday that Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz suffered a right thigh muscle injury in the fifth round of La Liga against Real Sociedad (2-0) and is likely to be sidelined for around three months.

"Bellingham is fine, as are Tchouaméni and Militão, who did not train today. Militão needed more time for recovery, so we decided to give him an extra day off. He will be 100% ready tomorrow. We've also had the misfortune of losing another important player, but the team is prepared, and we will strive to start the Champions League with a victory," Ancelotti said, as quoted by Real Madrid's press office.

Real Madrid will play Stuttgart at home on Tuesday, September 17, with the match kicking off at 20:00 BST. In the Champions League league phase, Los Blancos will also face Lille, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Liverpool, Atalanta, Red Bull Salzburg, and Brest.

This season, Éder Militão has made six appearances for Madrid, providing one assist.
