ATP Issues Statement on Sinner's Positive Doping Tests

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has released a statement following news of Italian player Jannik Sinner's positive doping tests in March 2024.

«We are pleased to confirm that no fault or negligence was found on the part of Jannik Sinner. We would like to highlight the reliability of the investigative process and the independent evaluation of the facts within the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP), which has allowed him to continue competing. This situation has been challenging for Jannik and his team. However, it has once again underscored the necessity for players and their entourages to exercise utmost caution when using products or undergoing procedures. Integrity remains paramount in our sport,» the ATP statement read.

Earlier, it was revealed that the world number one avoided suspension after it was determined that the samples were contaminated by a spray his physiotherapist had used to treat a cut on his own finger.
