Barcelona midfielder Olmo to miss up to five weeks due to injury

Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo is set to miss approximately several weeks due to an injury sustained during the fifth round of La Liga against Girona, where Barcelona secured a 4-1 victory.

According to the Catalan club's press office, medical examinations revealed that the 26-year-old has suffered a hamstring injury. His recovery period is expected to be four to five weeks.

Olmo started the match against Girona and scored a goal in the 47th minute but was forced to leave the pitch in the 61st minute.

Dani Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig last summer for €55 million. This season, the midfielder has scored three goals in three matches for the Catalan side.

The midfielder's contract with the club runs until the summer of 2030.
