Bravo: "Barcelona operates internally like a small club"

Former Barcelona and Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has compared his old clubs and criticized the internal structure of the Catalan side.

"Barça works like a small club. It's huge all over the world. Real Madrid and Barça are the biggest in terms of media, the best known all over the world. Asia, the United States, anywhere... Huge, but internally it's a very small club. Always the same faces, few people. Players, staff, three or four security guards, etc.

Meanwhile, Man City are gigantic internally. In terms of resources, unlimited. People in the pool, in the locker room, in the medical area, in the gym. There are a lot of people. They don't skimp on resources and personnel so that the player develops in the best possible way, so that he doesn't lack anything at all. You just have to worry about playing. We had the best physical trainer. In the medical area there are 20 stretchers, not five. There are two or three doctors," Bravo told Mundo Deportivo.

Claudio Bravo played for Barcelona from 2014 to 2016 before transferring to Manchester City, where he remained until 2020. During his time with the Catalan giants, the Chilean goalkeeper won the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup, as well as two La Liga titles and two domestic cups. With the Citizens, Bravo secured two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two FA Community Shields, and three Carabao Cups.

This summer, Bravo left Real Betis when his contract expired, and the 41-year-old goalkeeper is currently a free agent.
