Camavinga sidelined for approximately seven weeks due to injury

It has been confirmed how long Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be out following his injury. The midfielder sustained the injury during training ahead of the UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta.


According to the press office of the Madrid club, Camavinga has been diagnosed with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. 

Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the recovery time for the 21-year-old Frenchman will take six to seven weeks. He is expected to make his return to the pitch in October.

Real Madrid and Atalanta are set to compete for the UEFA Super Cup today, August 14. The match will take place in Warsaw and is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 BST.

Eduardo Camavinga has been with Real Madrid since the summer of 2021. Last season, the midfielder registered four assists in 46 appearances for Los Blancos. 

His contract with the Madrid club runs until the summer of 2029.
