Carragher: "Vardy is the greatest player in Leicester's history"

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has named Leicester striker Jamie Vardy as the greatest player in the club's history following the opening match of the Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur.

«I consider Vardy to be the greatest player in Leicester's history. He is a special footballer,» Carragher stated.

On Tottenham's performance, he remarked, «They had a lot of possession, but there's always that sense they could let you down and concede a goal,» as reported by the BBC.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Vardy scoring Leicester's only goal. The 37-year-old forward currently leads the Premier League in goals scored after the age of 30.
