Chandler has denied the postponement of his fight with McGregor to next year

Former UFC lightweight title contender Michael Chandler has denied reports that his fight with Irishman Conor McGregor has been postponed until next year.

«As much as we love Dana, he said some things at the press conference that were simply absolute lies. His job sometimes involves telling us the truth, and at other times, it's about lying.

For example, the claim that the fight won't take place this year could actually mean that it will happen this year. Read between the lines. As far as I understand, our fight is still scheduled for the end of the year. Both Conor and I are ready», Chandler told TMZ.

Earlier, UFC president Dana White stated that McGregor would not step into the octagon this year.

Initially, the Irishman was set to face Chandler at UFC 303 on June 30, but the bout was postponed due to McGregor's injury.
