Chandler: «My inner voice tells me that I don't deserve a fight with McGregor»

American UFC fighter Michael Chandler has spoken about his mental struggles before his fight with former two-weight champion Conor McGregor.

«My inner voice tells me that I don't deserve a fight with Conor. Of course, it’s wrong. But we all have that little voice inside us — and that's normal. I believe it's important to talk about this openly.

Being more honest and discussing your problems is the right thing to do. It's crucial to share your shortcomings and fears. You can't pretend to be bulletproof,» Chandler told MMA Fighting.

Earlier, UFC President Dana White stated that McGregor will not step into the octagon this year.

On June 30, the Irishman was set to fight Chandler at UFC 303, but the bout was postponed due to an injury suffered by McGregor.
