Chelsea block Lukaku’s €30m move to Napoli

Chelsea has not approved a deal for forward Romelu Lukaku to join Napoli for a fee close to €30 million, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on his social media accounts. 

Should the London club not confirm the Belgian’s transfer in the coming hours, Napoli will shift their focus to securing Benfica striker David Neres.

During the 2023/24 season, Romelu Lukaku played for Roma on a loan basis, participating in 47 matches across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists. The 31-year-old player is under contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €30 million.
