Double Olympic track and field champion Otis Davis dies

American track and field athlete Otis Davis has passed away at the age of 92, the press service of the International Association of Athletics Federations (World Athletics) has announced. 

The cause of Davis's death has not been specified.

Davis was a double gold medalist at the 1960 Rome Olympics. He secured first place in the 400 meters with a world record time of 44.9 seconds, and later triumphed in the 4x400 meters relay.
