Douglas Luiz: «Any player in the world would like to have an experience at Juventus»

26-year-old Brazilian central midfielder Douglas Luiz spoke about the reason for his move from Aston Villa to Juventus.

In July 2024 Douglas Luiz signed a five-year contract with Juventus. According to Italian media reports, the transaction amount was 51.5 million euros.

«Why did I leave the Premier League? Any player in the world would like to have an experience at Juventus. I am no different. Juventus is a huge club and many great players have passed through this team. This convinced me to come here. Any player would like to have this opportunity», — said Douglas Luiz Teamtalk.

In the 2023/24 season Douglas Luiz made 53 appearances for Aston Villa, scoring 10 goals and making 10 assists.

Transfermarkt valued the midfielder at 70 million euros.

Douglas Luiz has 18 matches for the Brazilian national team.
