Du Plessis Speaks Out on Victory Over Adesanya

South African fighter Dricus du Plessis commented on his triumph over New Zealand’s Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC 305.

“This guy gave me a lot of trouble. Adesanya is one of the greatest strikers in the history of the sport. But, as I said before, I was willing to die for this belt,” du Plessis declared in a post-fight interview.

In the fourth round, the South African secured victory over Adesanya with a chokehold, defending his UFC middleweight title.

Du Plessis has now marked his eighth consecutive win in the UFC. His professional record consists of 24 fights, 22 wins, and two losses. Adesanya, on the other hand, has fought 28 bouts in the octagon, winning 24 and losing four.
