"Everything's Bad Again," Verstappen on Azerbaijan Grand Prix Performance

Dutch driver Max Verstappen from Red Bull has criticised his team's car following his performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

"Yes, everything's really bad again. There's absolutely no speed, and there was significant wear on the medium tyres. It was a bit better on the hard tyres, but I got stuck behind Albon and Lando. Then the brakes overheated, so I had to back off. After that, the pace picked up a bit, but the car was still very difficult to handle. During qualifying, I already noticed that our upgrades weren't working at all. I couldn't brake properly, couldn't attack the corners. The front wheel kept lifting off the track, so I was bouncing all over the place in the slow corners. It felt more like karting. I didn't stand a chance against Lando. Everything was against us and nothing worked as it should," Verstappen told Viaplay.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix was won by McLaren's Oscar Piastri, with the Dutchman finishing in fifth place.
