Kenyan Kipyegon wins Olympic gold in 1500 meters with Olympic record

Kenyan athlete Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon has emerged as the champion of the 1500 meters at the 2024 Olympics.  

Kipyegon completed the distance in a remarkable time of 3:51.29, setting a new Olympic record.  

Australia's Jessica Hull claimed the silver medal with a time of 3:52.56, while Great Britain's Georgia Bell took home the bronze with a finish time of 3:52.61.  

Faith Kipyegon has made history as Kenya's first three-time Olympic champion. The 30-year-old athlete previously won gold in the 1500 meters at the Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo Games.  

The 2024 Olympics will conclude on August 11.
