Netherlands national team head coach Ronald Koeman stated that Memphis Depay's move to Brazilian club Corinthians is different from Stefan Bergwijn's transfer to Al-Ittihad.

«I disapproved Bergwijn to Saudi, with Memphis can be different. The level of the league in Brazil is different. So yes, Depay can still be part of the national team but it depends on his fitness and if he still reaches his level» Koeman is quoted by the BBC.

The 30-year-old striker Memphis Depay, who is currently a free agent, is set to join Brazilian club Corinthians. This was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on the social media platform X.

According to the source, the player underwent a medical examination on September 8. Depay's contract with the Brazilian club will run until 2026.

It is worth noting that Depay's last club was Madrid's Atletico, with whom his contract expired last July. He had been with the "Colchoneros" since January 2023.
