Leicester secures midfielder from Tottenham
Leicester City has announced the signing of midfielder Oliver Skipp from Tottenham Hotspur.
The transfer fee amounts to £20 million, with an additional £5 million potentially available in bonuses. The 23-year-old has signed a contract with the Foxes that runs until the summer of 2029.
I had conversations with the people here and they gave me a feeling of warmth and that they were excited to have me on board. As a player, when you feel that excitement, that’s something you can use to develop your game,” Skipp said, as quoted by Leicester's press service.
Oliver Skipp is a product of Tottenham's youth academy. While at the London club, the defensive midfielder made 106 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Transfermarkt values the player at €15 million.
