Liverpool agrees contract terms with Mamardashvili

Liverpool has reached a personal agreement with Valencia goalkeeper and Georgian international Giorgi Mamardashvili. This information comes from renowned insider Fabrizio Romano.

The Georgian shot-stopper is eager to make the move to the English club. Mamardashvili is prepared to join the Merseyside team, even if it means spending one or two seasons on loan with another club. Bournemouth has already expressed interest in signing the 23-year-old goalkeeper on a temporary basis should he transfer to Liverpool.

However, the Merseysiders have yet to agree with Valencia on the acquisition of Mamardashvili. The two parties are continuing negotiations regarding the terms of the deal.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has been with Valencia since 2021. Last season, he made 37 appearances for the Bats, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 41 goals. At Euro 2024, the Georgian goalkeeper matched a record for saves in the group stage, making 21 stops over three matches.

Mamardashvili's contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2027, with Transfermarkt valuing the goalkeeper at €45 million.
