McGregor: "I want to be released from my UFC contract"

Former two-time UFC champion Conor McGregor is looking to fight for another promotion.

"I have two fights left on my UFC contract. My opponent has secured another fight, so I would like to be released from my current contract or reach an agreement with UFC and BKFC.

I want a contract that allows me to get back to business. I want to be active; I’m currently working on that. We’ll see what happens," McGregor stated to Bare Knuckle FC.

McGregor has not stepped into the octagon since July 2021, when he suffered a technical knockout loss to American Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
