Medvedev apologized for defeat at the 2024 Olympics

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev apologized for his defeat by Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime 3:6, 6:7 in the third round match at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The match took place on July 31.

«I apologize for the result. He played very cool, nothing to say. He played the way he needed to. Any light ball would move left and right. I tried, but at the end of the first set it became physically difficult for me, and in the second set I changed my good energy, managing to turn on composure, but at the end it was not enough», — Medvedev told the «Чемпионат».

Medvedev ranks fifth in the ATP rankings, Auger-Aliassime is 19th.
