Müller breaks Xavi's record for most appearances for a single club in the Champions League

Bayern Munich's 35-year-old midfielder Thomas Müller has set a new record for the most appearances for a single team in the UEFA Champions League.

In the first-round group stage match against Dinamo Zagreb (9-2), Müller made his 152nd appearance, surpassing former Barcelona player Xavi's record of 151 games.

The German midfielder came on as a substitute in the 68th minute and provided an assist. Müller has been playing for Bayern Munich's senior team since 2009.
