Modric the third oldest player to provide an assist in the history of the UEFA Champions League

Croatian midfielder of Real Madrid, Luka Modric, delivered an assist in the first round match of the Champions League group stage against Stuttgart (3:1). 

The footballer came on as a substitute in the 70th minute and 13 minutes later provided the decisive pass to Antonio Rudiger. 

At the age of 39 years and 8 days, the Croatian midfielder became the third oldest player in the list of the oldest contributors of assists in the history of the tournament. Only Ryan Giggs (39 years and 363 days) and Amedeo Carboni (39 years and 176 days) precede him in this aspect.
