Neuer Not Ruling Out Return to German National Team

Bayern Munich's goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, who recently announced his retirement from the German national team, has not ruled out the possibility of making a return.

"I have given much to German football, but I have also received a lot in return. The experiences and adventures I have shared with the national team have become an integral part of who I am. I have forged numerous friendships, many of which will remain with me for life. Therefore, I do not rule out a potential return, although it was a clear and deliberate decision for me," Neuer was quoted as saying by Bayern & Germany.

Neuer announced his retirement from the German national team on August 21. The goalkeeper had been a mainstay for Die Mannschaft for 15 years, earning 127 caps.

During his time with the national team, Neuer became a World Cup champion in 2014 and achieved third place at the 2010 World Cup, as well as at the European Championships in 2012 and 2016.
