For Portugal, Bruno Fernandes scored in the 54th minute, and Cristiano Ronaldo added another in the 88th minute. Scotland's goal was scored by Scott McTominay in the 7th minute.

With this victory, Portugal earned four points and moved to the top of Group 1. Scotland, with one point, dropped to the bottom of the group.

Portugal's next Nations League match will be on October 12 against Poland, while Scotland will face Croatia on the same day.
