Romano reports new details regarding Mamardashvili's transfer to Liverpool

Liverpool have intensified their efforts to sign Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, with new contacts already scheduled with the Spanish club. This was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media.

«Liverpool are pushing to seal Giorgi Mamardashvili deal with new contacts with Valencia already scheduled. One more meeting will take place as agreement is done on €35m fee plus sell-on clause, still negotiating on deal structure. Giorgi would stay at Valencia on loan».

Giorgi Mamardashvili has been with Valencia since 2021. Last season, the goalkeeper made 37 appearances for the Bats, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 41 goals. At the 2024 European Championship, the Georgian national team's goalkeeper matched the record for saves in the group stage, stopping 21 shots across three games.

Mamardashvili's contract with Valencia runs until the summer of 2027. Transfermarkt values the goalkeeper at €45 million.
