Sinner Discusses Health Status Ahead of US Open 2024

The world No. 1 Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has shared his health status ahead of the US Open 2024.

«I'm not going to take any risks before the US Open or the most important tournament — a Grand Slam. Of course, I do feel some things at times. I need to figure out exactly what it is right now, as I sense that it's a slightly different issue than before. I will definitely get it checked after this tournament.

As I mentioned, I had about a week off, then went to Montreal and played two matches in one day. I didn’t have much time to recover after those two matches, and then I arrived here. For now, I'm not worried, so I'm happy to be playing. The main thing is to try to be in the best physical shape before the Grand Slam tournament. I have six days to recover and prepare. So, I'm not concerned about performing at 100% at the US Open», Sinner said during the press conference.

The Italian has reached the finals of the ATP 1000 tournament in Cincinnati.
