Slot Responds to Comparisons Between His Liverpool and Klopp's Team

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot offered his thoughts on the team’s performance in their 2-0 victory over Brentford in the second round of the EPL.

«I think the players are already getting used to my demands. To a large extent, it’s because my team doesn’t do many things differently from what Jürgen used to do. There are small changes, but overall, it's much the same. Therefore, if we lose possession or face a counterattack, we do everything possible to prevent a goal. However, some details vary a bit. It all depends on the opponent. Ipswich and Brentford created quite a few challenges for us. We still have much to prove in matches against teams contending for the top six,» Slot told Sky Sports.

The 45-year-old Slot officially took charge on June 1, replacing Jürgen Klopp.

Liverpool finished third in the English Premier League (EPL) standings at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
