The reason behind the collapse of Kylian Mbappe's transfer to Liverpool in 2022 has been revealed

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe requested a transfer to Liverpool from PSG in 2022, as reported by L’Equipe.

Following the extension of his contract with the Parisian club, the forward asked the management to let him leave due to his disappointment with the PSG project. It is also claimed that Mbappe responded positively to Liverpool's offer. The Frenchman had an agreement with the Merseyside club, which included a release clause for Real Madrid.

Liverpool offered 200 million euros for Mbappe. However, PSG's management blocked the transfer at the last minute and demanded 400 million euros from Liverpool, to which the English side refused.

Mbappe joined Real Madrid as a free agent this past summer, signing a five-year contract.
