Tottenham suspended a team player for using laughing gas

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma will miss the opening match of the new Premier League season due to suspension, reports The Athletic.

The player posted a video on social media showing him inhaling laughing gas from a balloon. Although he subsequently apologized, laughing gas, or NOS, is classified as a Class C drug in the United Kingdom. Its use is a criminal offense that carries a penalty of up to two years' imprisonment.

Tottenham has already launched an investigation into the matter. Bissouma will miss the match against Leicester in the Premier League on 19 August.
