Tsarukyan: «Chimaev will definitely become a UFC champion»

Arman Tsarukyan, the leader of the UFC lightweight rankings, believes that Chechen-born fighter Khamzat Chimaev will become a champion in the promotion.

«He looks good, he’s in shape. For sure, I believe he’s gonna win [against] Robert Whittaker. After that fight he can fight for the title. He’s gonna be champion for sure», —Tsarukyan told Submission Radio.

Khamzat Chimaev is set to face Australian Robert Whittaker at UFC 308, scheduled for October 26 in Abu Dhabi.  

In his mixed martial arts career, Chimaev has won all 13 of his bouts. Whittaker boasts a record of 26 wins and seven losses in MMA.
