UFC legend Cormier: «We're getting closer and closer to a fight between Jones and Aspinall»

Former UFC two-weight champion Daniel Cormier believes British fighter Tom Aspinall is close to getting a title fight against American Jon Jones.

«I think we're getting closer to a Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall fight than ever before. I'm unfamiliar with Jones personally, but the disrespect during altercations is always what gets you closer to fighting him. Aspinall is being disrespectful right now. I think it's going to benefit him if he wants to get this fight», MMAJunkie quoted Cormier as saying.

The last time Jones stepped into the octagon was in March 2023 against Frenchman Cyril Gane. Then the American won the heavyweight division title with 27 career victories.

Jones is scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic in his next fight. Their fight is expected to take place at UFC 309 on November 16 in New York (USA).
