Verstappen: "I believe I am somewhere in the middle of my career"

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen commented on the competition for the Dutch Grand Prix and shared his plans for the future.

«This year, drivers from many teams are competing for the top positions. And looking at how the situation has developed throughout the season, I can confidently say that it will be much harder for me to win my home Grand Prix this year.

Regardless, during the summer break, we all conducted a thorough analysis to explore ways in which we could improve. We will see how things progress.

It's clear to me that I won't be racing in another 200 Grands Prix. I believe I am somewhere in the middle of my career. That said, I don’t feel like I've already participated in nearly 200 Grands Prix. However, it is evident that we now have many more races in a season compared to the past," Verstappen told Speed Week.

At the Zandvoort event, Verstappen will compete in the 200th Grand Prix of his career. Currently, the record holder for the most Grands Prix in Formula 1 is Fernando Alonso, who has participated in 392 races.
