White confirms Jones vs. Miocic fight scheduled for UFC 309 in November

The UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones's fight against former titleholder Stipe Miocic is scheduled for the UFC 309 event, UFC President Dana White announced at a press conference following Dana White's Contender Series.

The event will take place on 16 November at Madison Square Garden in New York. The official announcement will be made once the full fight card has been finalised.

Jones last stepped into the octagon in March 2023 against France's Ciryl Gane, where he claimed the heavyweight title, marking his 27th career victory. Miocic has won 20 fights and suffered four losses.
