Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
After a narrow defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers in Pennsylvania (100:102), the Boston Celtics return to their home arena, where they will host the struggling Memphis Grizzlies in a back-to-back game. This is an excellent chance for the hosts to bounce back for Joe Mazzulla.
Boston Celtics
We need to get used to the fact that the Boston Celtics will rely on their defence this season. Fortunately, they rank second in the league, allowing an average of 110.4 points. On offence, things are much worse. For a bright performance, they need either an outstanding display from one of their leaders or a defence that is easily penetrated.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies belong to the category of teams that cannot boast a reliable defensive game. On average, they concede 118.6 points, which ranks 21st in the league. In addition, their offence is also among the ten worst in the NBA, scoring only 113.7. With such numbers, it is no surprise that they have only one win in their last five games, and that was against the equally struggling Dallas Mavericks (118:104).
Boston Celtics vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction
One of the Boston Celtics’ advantages is character. The team will do everything possible to please the fans. The Memphis Grizzlies are on the verge of a rebuild and do not pose a serious threat. At TD Garden, the Celtics should secure a victory.
