Rise of Olympus Origins greets us with the familiar heavenly Olympus: the reels hang in the air, and in the background is a cloudy landscape with floating rocks and a temple. Unlike the original, the location no longer changes depending on which god is “active” — throughout the base game, it always feels like we are visiting Zeus. The atmosphere shifts only when the bonus triggers, revealing new scenes. The symbols are split into gods (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades) and relics (helmet, trident, lightning bolt). The grid, framed in gold, looks cleaner and brighter than in the first instalment.

The music here reacts dynamically: when the reels are still, a calm melody plays; during a cascade sequence, the soundtrack becomes louder and more epic; and during respins or bonuses, a full, serious orchestral score kicks in. The sound effects are lifted directly from the original — lightning strikes, hits and explosions sound louder than the main theme. Special Symbols
The Wild (gold coin with Pegasus) is the most important symbol in Rise of Olympus Origins. It substitutes for all others and has its own payouts: x1 for 3, x3 for 4 and x20 for 5. Its functions:
- Appears after every win involving relics (1 wild for 3 relics, 2 wilds for 4 or more).
- Can take part in multiple combinations at the same time.
- If only wilds remain on the grid, this counts as a full clear — they disappear automatically.
- In free spins and respins, it helps form clusters and charge the gods’ meters.
Bonus Game
Rise of Olympus Origins includes three main bonus mechanics: Hand of God, the Wrath of Olympus respin, and Free Spins with instant prizes.
Hand of God
Triggered when a win is formed with god symbols. The chance depends on the length of the combination: 3 symbols — 50% chance; 4 symbols — 75% chance; 5 symbols — 100% chance.

When the meter is full and no further wins occur, the respin is activated. During the respin, the powers of all three gods trigger in order: first Hades, then Zeus, then Poseidon. If the grid is fully cleared during the respin, free spins are launched.
Free Spins
Triggered by a complete grid clear (not counting clears made of wilds only). The player receives 10 free spins. A cumulative multiplier works here: every time a god uses their power, the global multiplier increases by +1 and remains until the end of the feature. Additional free spins are awarded if the gods’ meter is filled again.
The key difference in this version is the prize chests. When the grid is cleared during free spins, three chests open, and the player receives one prize from each:

The volatility is felt immediately: the slot can swallow a hundred spins without even a hint of a bonus, but if the grid does clear, the rewards can be impressive.
Who will like it? Those who have already played the original and want to see what changed. Those who prefer grid-slots where the gameplay focuses not on paylines but on combinations and cascades. If you want fast dynamics and predictable line payouts, this probably won’t be your pick.
