The slot presents the adventure as a vintage comic about artefact hunters. Chile is an icy bay with snowdrifts and skerries, northern lights flickering above the grid and a cold blue tint across the interface. India transports you into a columned hall filled with water and carved panels: gold, violet reflections, dust drifting in the light — everything screams “sanctuary”. Peru shows green pyramid steps in the jungle, serpent-shaped mascarons and deep leaf-shadow. Between modes, the game moves you with map panels and shots of an aeroplane; the totem wild of the chosen country flashes on screen. The symbols are quick to read: a trio of heroes, a compass, a backpack and a book.
🎶 Sound
The background track is a mystical, adventure-themed score; the tone shifts slightly from location to location. Wins are punctuated with coin chimes, wilds and scatters get bright flashes and percussion accents. Short voice lines accompany events to support the “story” without being intrusive. Altogether, the audio doesn’t overwhelm but keeps the tension, especially during transitions and free spins.

Special Symbols
To understand how to play Wildest Gambit, it’s important to see which wilds behave in each location and which hero upgrades them.
- Scatter (gold artefact): pays anywhere on the grid — x5 for 3 symbols, x25 for 4, x125 for 5. Required to trigger free spins. Modes: works in all locations, including Egypt.
- Wild (gold idol with a disc): substitutes all symbols except the scatter; appears on reels 2–4; gives x2/x4/x8 when part of a win. Modes: Chile and Egypt; as support, it can be added to sticky wilds in India (via Rich’s upgrade).
- Expanding Wild (idol with round earrings): expands vertically on the entire reel when it lands, turning all positions into wilds. Modes: Peru; as support, it can be added to multiplier wilds in Chile and Egypt (Cat’s upgrade).
- Sticky Wild (Ganesha idol with purple glow): locks in place and participates in respins. Modes: India; as support, it can be added to expanding/multiplier wilds in Peru and Egypt (Gerard’s upgrade).
- Cat Upgrade: upgrades active wilds into expanding ones; multipliers, if present, apply after expansion.
- Gerard Upgrade: upgrades active wilds into sticky ones and grants at least one respin.
- Rich Upgrade: adds an x2/x4/x8 multiplier to active sticky wilds for the duration of the respin.
Bonus Game
Between spins, you can manually select a location on the map: Chile, Peru or India are available immediately and in any order. Egypt unlocks after free spins have been triggered in each of the three starting locations at least once.
- Respins: Triggered by the Sticky Wild effect. At least one respin is awarded; any new wilds that land during the respin also become sticky and add more respins. In India, stickiness is the core effect; in Peru and Egypt, it is added through Gerard’s upgrade. In India, sticky wilds can receive multipliers from Rich for the duration of the respin.
- Free Spins: 3+ scatters trigger 8 FS. At the start, a random regular symbol is selected and can expand to fill the reel if it improves the winning combination on active paylines. During free spins, the “leader” and “support” of the current location are always active: in Chile, the active effects are multipliers and the upgrade to expanding; in Peru — expansion and the upgrade to stickiness; in India — stickiness and the multiplier upgrade for sticky wilds. In Egypt, all three supports work at once: expansion, stickiness with at least one respin, and x2/x4/x8 multipliers for sticky wilds. Additional 3+ scatters award extra FS.

RTP – 96.20%. Volatility is not specified by the provider, but judging by the gameplay, it can be considered high. The maximum win is x20,000.
Our Verdict
The pacing in Wildest Gambit jumps from one country to another: the 10-line base game is moderate, but wild upgrades can suddenly change everything. The most reliable engine is the sticky wilds with respins; the sharpest spikes happen when multipliers or expansion get added to them.
The progression towards Egypt is motivating, but it can drag on if free spins refuse to drop in one of the locations. The final mix in Egypt genuinely feels like a deserved climax — that’s where the slot fully opens up.
