Betting Tip
Over the past couple of seasons, Ferencvaros have reached the play-offs from the league phase of the Europa League, so the team are not aiming for anything less than that stage. Vojvodina, meanwhile, failed badly in the Serbian league the season before last, and a return to any European competition is already a success for the club.
In the 2024/25 season, Vojvodina finished only sixth, which left the club without any European competition the following season. However, the calmer pace of one game per week allowed them to get involved in the battle for second place with Partizan from the very start. At the finish, the hosts' advantage was three points. The main signing for the red-and-whites in the off-season was the return, after two years, of academy graduate Dejan Zukic. The attacking midfielder spent those years at Wolfsberger. There, the player made 62 appearances, scored 17 goals and provided 20 assists — a decent spell away.
But while Vojvodina have only a few players as bright as Zukic, Ferencvaros have noticeably more of them. The club supply their best performers to other leagues. Barnabas Varga, who scored 20 goals in just 29 matches, was sold to AEK that winter, but another forward, Haiti's Lenny Joseph (16 goals in all competitions), is still with the team. He gained experience at the 2026 World Cup. It is important that Gabi Kanichowsky, who is key to building attacks, remains in the Fradi squad: 8+5 in all competitions last season. Balazs Borbely will coach this pair and the rest of the Green Eagles, because second place in the previous league campaign was, naturally, seen as a failure. That is why Robbie Keane left his post, and Ferencvaros went straight into the Europa League.
This is a classic three-result match, as the odds from all bookmakers suggest. Ferencvaros have a slight edge in class, but home surroundings will help Vojvodina play out a draw.
