Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
Olimpia Milano are on a remarkable streak, with their recent win over Barcelona marking their sixth consecutive victory. They will need to dig deep to extend this run as they face the reigning EuroLeague champions, Greek giants Panathinaikos.
Panathinaikos
In the last two EuroLeague rounds, Panathinaikos have not been at their best. Both away games ended in heavy defeats—against Anadolu Efes (67:93) and Partizan Belgrade (73:91). However, it's worth noting that their main scorer Kendrick Nunn (18.4 points per game) missed the match in Turkey. He is back now, which should positively impact the home side's performance. The primary issue for Panathinaikos’ coaching staff to address is their mediocre defence. Panathinaikos have conceded over 89 points in four consecutive games.
Olimpia Milano
Olimpia Milano are in superb form and head into this clash as the strongest team in the tournament. In their last outing, they secured an away victory against the formidable Barcelona (94:81). Zach LeDay shone in that match, scoring 33 points with 10 out of 14 field goals, earning the MVP title for round 15. Currently, his partnership with Nikola Mirotić allows Milano's offence to hold the second spot in scoring, averaging over 88 points per game.
Panathinaikos vs Olimpia Milano Prediction
Bookmakers might favour the hosts, but we have a different view. We can't see how Panathinaikos will contain Olimpia Milano's impressive big-man duo. Therefore, we suggest betting on the visitors' individual total.
