Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Miami Masters match.
Sebastian Korda and Novak Djokovic square off for a place in the semi-finals of the Miami Masters. For Korda, it’s a golden opportunity to reach his first ATP 1000 semi-final of the season. For Djokovic, it’s yet another step toward his 100th career title and a sixth Miami crown.
Sebastian Korda
The American is enjoying his best run of 2025, having taken down an out-of-form Stefanos Tsitsipas (7:6, 6:3) and veteran Gaël Monfils (6:4, 2:6, 6:4). However, Korda’s record against the elite remains a concern — he’s lost 12 of 14 matches against top-5 opponents. Even against Monfils, the 23-year-old looked shaky at times, especially in the second set where he missed several break chances and had to dig deep to close it in three.
Novak Djokovic
The five-time Miami champion has been businesslike in Florida. Djokovic is yet to drop a set and most recently dismantled 16th seed Lorenzo Musetti (6:2, 6:2), winning 75% of points on his first serve. The Serb is chasing a landmark 100th career title, and his hunger is evident. He’s won five of his last six Masters quarter-finals and appears to be peaking at the right time.
Sebastian Korda vs Novak Djokovic Prediction
Their only previous meeting came on hard court in 2023, where Djokovic edged out Korda in a tight three-setter (6:7, 7:6, 6:4). Since then, Djokovic has only improved his tactical execution and mental fortitude. Korda, meanwhile, continues to falter when it matters most against top-tier competition.
