Slovenia
Slovenia and Denmark were going through the qualifying tournament side by side. They stripped Finland and Kazakhstan of their tickets to Euro. June has hardly seen Slovenia performing well. Beating Armenia (2:1) can somehow be called a positive thing. But a draw in the game versus Bulgaria (1:1) that failed their qualifying tournament seems to be a disaster. Slovenia are likely to play in the attacking style they’re used to. Šesko and Šporar can make the difference. The defensive line is strong because of Jan Oblak.
Denmark
Denmark has recently beaten Sweden (2:1) and Norway (3:1) in friendly games. The Danish side has proved they have a strong attacking line. The coaches can choose between several players, namely Højlund, Wind, Poulsen and Dolberg. Denmark scored 19 goals in the qualifying tournament. It’s not enough to win the trophy as it was in 1992, but it’s enough to reach the quarter-finals.
Slovenia – Denmark prediction
This is going to be the 2nd Euro for Slovenia. Denmark are way more experienced. In 2021, Denmark were a step away from the final. England beat them only in extra time of the semi-final game. Denmark managed to score in their qualifying games against Slovenia (1:1 and 2:1). The Danish side has more skillful players, they are the favourites.
