Money Train 2: Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
The slot opens with a rusted locomotive, its reels built directly into the engine. The backdrop shows a post-apocalyptic wasteland — crooked windmills, drifting dust, and the eerie stillness of a world long forgotten. Symbols are split between metallic suit icons and a gang of grim characters: the Collector, Payer, Sniper, and Necromancer. Visually, it’s pure steampunk western, straight out of a Mad Max-style world where cowboys trade revolvers for multiplier mechanics.
🎶 Sound
The soundtrack builds tension from the start: clanging metal, drawn-out notes, and the constant sense that the train is about to break loose. During respins or when new reels unlock, sharp clanks and gear clicks layer in, giving the impression of a machine gaining speed. Through headphones, it feels like a mini soundtrack to a wild raider chase — dark, rhythmic, and perfectly tuned to the chaos.

Special Symbols:
- Wild (skull) — substitutes all standard symbols and pays the same as the Necromancer.
- Scatter — three or more trigger the Money Cart Bonus. Two regular scatters in the base game activate the Respin Feature with an increasing multiplier.
- Golden BONUS — counts as a scatter and, when entering the bonus, instantly reveals a value from x20 to x200.
- Payer — reveals its value and adds it to all visible symbols.
- Collector — collects all visible values to itself.
- Collector/Payer — first gathers all visible values, then redistributes its new total back to every symbol.
- Sniper — doubles the values of 3–8 random symbols at the end of a spin (can hit the same one multiple times).
- Necromancer — “revives” 2–7 previously used non-persistent special symbols (Payer, Collector, Collector/Payer, Sniper).
- Reset Plus — increases the base spin count in the bonus round from 3 to 4.
- Persistent Payer / Collector / Sniper — their effects trigger not only when they appear but on every subsequent spin.
Bonus Game
The Money Cart Bonus is triggered by scatters. When activated, all bonus symbols display their multipliers, and if any special symbols are present, they may activate even before the first spin.
- The starting supply is 3 spins. Each new symbol resets the counter back to 3.
- All values in the bonus are shown as multipliers (x) of the bet.
- If a reel becomes fully occupied, an additional column opens (up to two extra columns in total).
- If the entire grid is filled, the bonus ends with a payout of x500 of the bet.
The Respin Feature works separately in the base game. If two scatters land on the screen but a third one is missing, respins are triggered. Both scatters reveal their multipliers, which are added together. The reels keep spinning until the first paying combination, and each non-winning spin increases the multiplier by 1. After a win, the total multiplier is applied to the payout.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
Money Train 2 has a theoretical RTP of 96.40%. The volatility is extremely high — it’s easy to spin a hundred times without a hint of a bonus, but one good Money Cart run can completely recover all previous losses. The maximum win is capped at x50,000 of the bet: once the total multiplier reaches this value, the bonus round ends instantly and the payout is fixed.
Our Verdict
Money Train 2 is a slot where the feeling of “it’s about to hit” constantly battles with cold math. The bonus doesn’t come often, but when persistent Collectors or Snipers appear, the screen turns into a chaotic carnival of multipliers. It’s clearly a slot for patient players — some will get tired of the long dry stretches, while others will enjoy the tension and those rare, juicy moments.
For something of a similar scale but in a different setting, check out Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop — instead of rusty trains, you’ll find archaeological ruins and a chance to hit a progressive jackpot. And if you’d rather switch to a totally different mechanic, try Fist of Destruction — a fighting-themed slot with the same level of intensity but a completely different bonus logic.
