A deserted cathedral looms in the background: cracked windows, cold moonlight, and a smug treasure-hunter hugging a cursed tome. Tiles are ornate and heavy, with occult jewellery, knives and carved gems. The UI frames the grid like a grimoire, while the Portal meter on the left glows as if something impatient wakes beneath the floor. The whole screen reads as an antique museum after midnight.
🎶 Sound
The score is a tense, stately theme that never quite resolves. You feel the threat in the low strings. Wins detonate with a bang and a flash, then the grid drops with a mechanical rumble. When chains of cascades build, percussion swells and the mix tightens, which sells the idea that the Portal is about to crack open.

Special Symbols
- Special Wild (book icon): adds to wins and may trigger a Portal effect when part of a winning cluster.
- Multiplier Wild (Rich Wilde portrait): x2 to any win it participates in.
- Mega Wild (Cthulhu eye): a giant wild that appears in the feature and steps downward between cascades, creating new connections.
- Eye Marks (glowing tiles): marked cells on the grid; open an eye by landing a win covering that position to spawn +2 Special Wilds. In the feature, opening all eyes summons the Mega Wild.
Bonus Game
The slot replaces classic free spins with a single escalating round where queued effects fire automatically.
Other World Free Round: charge the Portal by winning on 42 symbols in one paid spin to enter the feature. Extra charge beyond 42 adds more effects: +1 effect per +3 symbols, up to 7 in total. During the round, when no new win forms, one random Portal effect resolves; this continues until all stored effects are spent.
Portal effects:

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness is all about momentum. Dead spins feel quiet, then a single cluster wakes the meter and suddenly the grid starts eating itself, stacking wilds and removals until the Portal tips. The one-spin feature is neat: you watch effects discharge like fuses, hoping the Mega Wild lands where it matters.
