If Liverpool lose to PSV Eindhoven, or even just fail to win, then Arne Slot will very soon be out of the club. Even a league title would not save him. It looks as though they have been living off Jürgen Klopp's legacy.

That embarrassment was already their sixth defeat in the last seven rounds of the Premier League and their eighth in 11 matches in all competitions. Alexander Isak, who became the league's second-highest scorer with Newcastle United (23 goals), has scored only once for the team, and that was in the minor EFL Cup against Southampton from the Championship. In the more prestigious competitions – nothing at all. And it is the same story with most of their expensive new signings.
PSV Eindhoven
PSV Eindhoven have been playing for two months without one of their key players, Ruben van Bommel, but that has not stopped them winning in the Eredivisie. It was after that absence that the team put together a seven-match winning streak and, as a result, took a comfortable lead in the league, six points clear (+6). In the Champions League it is much harder to win. There they have only one victory in four matches, but look who it came against: they tore apart Napoli, coached by Antonio Conte, on their own pitch (6:2). And away from home? At least they have not lost yet – neither to Bayer 04 Leverkusen nor to Olympiacos Piraeus (both matches finished 1:1).

It is better to take PSV Eindhoven with a positive handicap. They may still lose, but they may also inflict another, potentially fatal, blow on Liverpool.
