Saudi investors interested in acquiring stake in EuroLeague
The EuroLeague is considering selling a minority stake in its business, according to The Financial Times.
SURJ Sports Investment, managed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, is reportedly looking to purchase a stake in Europe's premier club basketball competition. The EuroLeague's commercial arm, EuroLeague Commercial Assets, is aiming to sell around one-third of the business, which includes both the EuroLeague and the EuroCup.
Negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage, but no agreement has been finalized yet. The minority stake in the EuroLeague is valued at approximately €1 billion.
