Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
Chicago have been fortunate with their early schedule, as three of their first four matches have been played at home. The result — a 4:0 start and leadership in the Eastern Conference. Their home run continues, and the Bulls clearly intend to make the most of it.
Chicago Bulls
Following the departures of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan, a new and promising duo has emerged in the Chicago Bulls. Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis are averaging 19.5 and 16.8 points per game respectively, combining for 9.3 assists. Alongside the evergreen Nikola Vucevic (18.3 points and 13.3 rebounds), Billy Donovan has built a dangerous side that has already beaten top rivals such as the Detroit Pistons (115:111) and the Atlanta Hawks (128:123).
New York Knicks
The Knicks began the season confidently but then lost back-to-back games to the Miami Heat (107:115) and the Milwaukee Bucks (111:121). It’s clear that the team are still adjusting to a new playing style. Their offence has been particularly disappointing, ranking 27th in the league with an average of just 110.5 points per game and a shooting percentage of 40.6% (28th).
Chicago Bulls vs New York Knicks Prediction
The New York Bulls are still finding their rhythm, and an away stretch certainly doesn’t help. Poor shot selection often leads to fast breaks for their opponents, and given how explosive the Bulls have been offensively, it’s hard to see the visitors keeping pace.
